Isogrid Aluminum Trivet

Isogrids : Products based on triangular trusses.

An Isogrid panel is a plate (or face sheet) with triangular integral stiffening ribs (often called stringers). The triangular pattern was found to be very efficient because it takes advantage of the fact that triangular trusses are very effecient structures. The term isogrid is used because the structure acts like an isotropic material. We make things based on that.

Our isogrid products are CNC milled from 6061 T6 aircraft grade aluminum. This is a 5” trivet or large cup coaster. Both the top and bottom sides are milled. Both side have the EMF logo along with chamfers around all edges. The bottom is scooped out which creates the feet.
